This is an English translation of the Spanish privacy policy. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
CubicPath is a free browser game. This page explains what data is kept when you play, what it is used for and what you can do about it. The idea is to keep the minimum needed for the game to work: your record, your name in the ranking and your settings.
The party responsible for your data is the creator of CubicPath, an independent developer in Mexico. For any privacy matter write to [email protected].
The game uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) to remember:
This data doesn't leave your browser except as described below. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.
For the ranking and so you don't lose your record, the game keeps in its database:
| Data | What for |
|---|---|
| A random account identifier | When you open the game an anonymous guest account is created, without asking you for anything. |
| Your in-game name | Shown in the ranking. You choose it (or a random one is generated) and you can change it in Settings → Account. |
| Your record, the map you set it on and how many games you've played | Ranking and unlocking maps. |
| Dates of your last submitted record and of the last time you opened the game | Preventing cheating (submissions too close together) and deleting abandoned guest accounts. |
| Your Google email and identifier (only if you link your account with Google) | So you can recover your account and your record on another device. Your email is never shown to other players. |
The public ranking only shows the name and record of accounts linked with Google. Guest accounts don't appear in the ranking.
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and accounts (guest and Google). |
| Cloudflare | Hosts and delivers the site, and counts visits anonymously with Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies and no data that identifies you). |
| Sign-in with Google (if you use it), ads (Google AdSense) and the Orbitron font (Google Fonts). | |
| cdnjs and jsDelivr | Deliver the game's libraries (three.js and the Supabase client). |
Like any website, these services receive technical connection data, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the content and protect themselves from abuse.
CubicPath is free thanks to ads. It uses Google AdSense: when you lose, an ad you can close sometimes appears, and if you want you can watch a full ad to double your points.
| What | Whose | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Local storage (localStorage) | CubicPath | Record, settings and session. Needed for the game to work; it doesn't track anything outside the game. |
| Ad cookies and identifiers | Google and its partners | Showing and measuring ads, and personalizing them if you give your permission. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland they are only used to personalize with your consent. |
You can delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings at any time (you'll lose your local record if you didn't link your account).
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your account data. You can change your name yourself in Settings → Account. To delete your account or for any other request, write to [email protected] from the email you linked your account with (or give your in-game name if it's a guest account). You'll get an answer within 20 business days. You can also object to your data being used for anything other than what is described here, or withdraw your consent by deleting your account.
CubicPath is a game for everyone, but it isn't specifically aimed at children under 13. No personal data is requested to play; linking a Google account is optional. If you are a minor, ask your parent or guardian for permission before linking your account. If you believe a minor linked their account without permission, write to us and we'll delete it.
The services listed above may store or process data on servers outside Mexico (for example in the United States). Only the data each service needs to work is shared; your data is not sold.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated with the date above. See also the terms and conditions.
